About

We're a small company looking to bridge big ideas in art, technology, and education.

WHAT WE DO
PlaySomething develops interactive artwork with an emphasis on participatory design and abstract thinking. We've chosen to release limited batches of each product so as to maintain flexibility in exploring diverse concepts as well as highlight the craftsmanship of our manufacturing partners.

WHO WE ARE
PlaySomething is a collaboration between Bobby Genalo and Alberto Brizio.

WHERE WE DO IT
We're proud to promote local industry.  Aside from the ecologically harvested wood that we receive from western Pennsylvania, we design and manufacture all of our products in New York.

PSFK - "...another very different project lets the viewer create their own ideal transportation system for New York."

INHABITAT - "...each piece is manufactured locally in the NY metro area, and made using ecologically harvested wood from Pennsylvania and sustainable rope."

DADDY TYPES - "Let's just acknowledge upfront that it looks sweet, and it is a great idea, beautifully crafted, and authentic, right down to the apparent absence of the G train."

I AM LAB - "When I lived in Brooklyn, I wanted a train stop that went from the Clarke Street Station directly to the Strand Bookstore on 12th Street and Broadway. I also wanted wings, but that's another story."
